EGL visits to learn from Rusumo Construction Project
On April 26, 2021, the Senior Management Team of Energie des Grands Lacs (EGL) visited the Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project located at Rusumo border between Rwanda and Tanzania to learn on the progress of the Regional Rusumo Project; the delegation was headed by EGL’s Managing Director, Mr. Charles VUMBI and included EGL’s Director of Finance, Mr. Jonas Hakizimana and EGL’s Technical Director, Eng. Emma Francoise Isumbingabo.
MR. Vumbi was received by NELSAP Rusumo Project and RPCL Management and staff together with the Project’s Owner’s Engineer, AECOM. Project Management presented the Project’s institutional set up, achievements recorded so far and the overall Project’s progress which is approaching 76% and. EGL delegation was taken to tour the construction sites at the power intake and the switchyard sites.
