Tanzania Prime Minister calls on to Rusumo Project

Tanzanian Prime Minister, Right Honorable Kassim Majaliwa visited the Regional Rusumo Falls Hydroelectric Project on 19th September, 2021, accompanied by Deputy Minister for Energy, Hon. Stephen Byabato, Tanzanian and Members of Rusumo Project Governance, Mr. Nuru Ndile, Member of RPCL Board Director and Eng. Salum Inegeja, a member of Rusumo Project Steering Committee from Tanzania.

The Managing Director of Rusumo Power Company Limited, Eng. Ntare Karitanyi and NELSAP Acting Regional Coordinator Eng. Andy Maro Tola escorted the Tanzania governmental delegation to the main Project sites, at the power intake and power house.

They presented implementation progress of Rusumo Project which is at about 81.4% completion. Civil works are now at 84.7% and Electro-mechanical works are now at 75.1%, considering that management of the Project Implementation Unit is putting in means and measures for contractors to complete works as soon as possible.
